Who is responsible for your information?

Measys Group Ltd operates the Wireless Sensors website and is responsible for personal information collected through it. Contact us at sales@measys.com, on 0800 008 7304, or at 16 Kingfisher Court, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5SJ, United Kingdom.

Information we collect

  • Enquiries and support: your name, email address, optional telephone number and company, your message, products of interest and correspondence.
  • Accounts and orders: account details, billing and delivery addresses, order items, transaction references and payment status. Card payment details are handled by the payment provider.
  • Chat: messages you send and contact details you choose to share. Depending on the chat service enabled, a member of our team or an AI assistant may respond. Please avoid sharing sensitive information or payment card details in chat.
  • Website use: pages visited, referral and campaign information, device category, visit identifiers and, where available, country. Hosting and security services may also process technical information such as IP addresses and browser details.

How and why we use information

We use enquiry and order information to respond to your requests, prepare quotations, fulfil orders and provide support. Where you are buying personally, this supports steps towards or performance of a contract. For business contacts, our legitimate interest is responding to the organisation you represent and managing that relationship.

We use account, security and operational information to run and protect the website, prevent misuse and resolve problems, relying on our legitimate interests in providing a reliable service. We retain transaction information where required for accounting and other legal obligations.

Where optional Google analytics or advertising tracking is enabled, it is activated through your consent choice. You can change that choice using “Tracking preferences”. If we ask for consent for other uses, you can withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Fields marked as required are needed to handle the relevant enquiry, account or order. Without those details, we may be unable to provide that service.

Cookies, browser storage and analytics

The website uses cookies and browser storage for functions such as your basket, account session, security, preferences and chat.

Our own site analytics records visits and referral information using a visitor cookie lasting up to one year and a visit cookie lasting 30 minutes, refreshed on visits. These identifiers support reports about how the website is used. This tracking currently operates separately from the Google tracking choice and respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

Where enabled and accepted, Google Analytics and Google Ads receive page and conversion events, such as a purchase or enquiry. The site stores your Google tracking choice for 180 days. Rejecting Google tracking does not disable essential site functions or the separate site analytics described above. You can also delete or block cookies using your browser, although some functions may stop working.

Who receives information?

Information is available to staff who need it to fulfil your request, and service providers involved in hosting, email, payment processing, delivery, chat and technical support. These may include Stripe for card payments, LiveChat for chat and Google for consented analytics and advertising, depending on the services enabled.

If you use a cloud monitoring service such as iMonnit, its provider’s privacy information also applies to information you provide directly to that service. We may disclose information to professional advisers or authorities where necessary to meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. The applicable arrangements depend on the provider and service. Contact us for details of the providers involved in your request, the processing locations and any applicable transfer safeguards.

How long we keep information

Retention depends on the purpose of the record: the time needed to resolve an enquiry, manage an account, fulfil an order, provide support or handle a complaint. We also consider accounting requirements, legal claims and security needs. Cookie lifetimes above describe browser storage, not the retention of server records. Contact us for the retention period applicable to your information.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the circumstances and legal basis, you may ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You can object to direct marketing and withdraw consent where it is used. Contact sales@measys.com to make a request. We may need information to verify your identity.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, or call 0303 123 1113.

Updates to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
